Knightdale - Joyce Norman Dorffeld, 51, of 1205 W. R. Drive, died Sunday, August 16, 2009. Joyce was born in Wake County on January 9, 1958 to Phyllis Weathers Norman and the late Robert Lee Norman. She graduated in 1976 from Vaiden Whitley High School. Joyce was the secretary with Fisher-Rex Sandwich Company.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend George Pullium officiating.

Burial: Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, 3329 Forestville Road, Raleigh, NC 27616

Daughters: Rhonda Norman Turner and husband, Geoffrey Allen Turner of Sasebo, Japan
April Norman Fasone and husband, Robert Patrick Fasone of San Diego, CA
Grandchildren: Isabella Maria, Emma Rose, Anthony Patrick Fasone
Mother: Phyllis W. Norman of Knightdale
Sisters: Mary Ann Brock and Tammy Lynn Norman, both of Knightdale
Several cousins and special friends

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Wayne Norman.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home of Berry Richardson, 1418 N. Smithfield Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
