Dorothy
Mae (Dot) Steffel, 85, passed away on Saturday Nov. 22. She was born on
July 12, 1923, in Somerville AL to Charles and Gertrude Wigginton. She was
a Navy Wave and a veteran of WWII. Dot was preceded in death by her
husband Jim Steffel. They were married for 62 years and lived in Raleigh
since 1950, where they raised 4 children. Dot was a homemaker and a member
of Our Lady of Lourdes Church since 1959.

Daughter, Theresa White of Raleigh:
Sons: Tom Steffel and wife Rina of Clyde, NC; Jim Steffel and wife Renee of Wake Forest, NC; and Fred of Raleigh.
Brothers: Charles Wigginton and wife Fraye of Somerville, AL; James Wigginton and wife Robbie of Decatur, AL; and Douglas Wigginton of Somerville, AL.
Sisters: Sue Nelson of Somerville, AL, and Jean Schuck of Orange Beach, AL.
Granddaughters: Tina Watkins, of Richmond, VA; Tara and husband Mark Dickinson of Southport, England; Tonya and husband Bill Price of Kenly, NC; English Steffel of Wilmington; and Sierra and husband Josh Lohman also of Wilmington.
Great grandchildren: Tamara, Geoffrey and Jackson Watkins of Richmond, VA.
