Here’s a reminder about the Garden Club meeting schedule. Hope you can come! We’re also looking for “a few good men” to join us, so bring your guys if they’ll come. The meetings are held 2nd Thursday each month, except for the Summer months. They are held at the homes of the members, and we would love to have you come. We have social time starting at 6:30 and the meeting starts at 7:00.Please consider becoming a Garden Club Member. We need more good people! The December 9 meeting is the Club's Christmas dinner, which we always have At the American Legion building on Lee Road. January 8th's meeting is a Nancy McLean's home. Nancy left Starmount a couple of years ago, but remains a very active member of the club. She lives in Millbrook at #201 Tiffany Bay Court. The program is "Caring for African Violets" and the guest speaker is Libby Glembocki, who owns the Bluebird Greenhouse in Apex. Nancy's number is 876-8397. February 12th's meeting will be at Lise Moltzon's home at 3720 Baugh Street. The program is "Flower Arranging - YOU can do it." The program will be held by Jan Barbot, who is our President. Lise's number is 876-7251. March 12th's meeting is at the home of Annie Ruth Perry at 3317 Scott Drive. The program is "pruning skills for the homeowner." The guest speaker is Dr. Barbara Fair, who is on faculty of NCSU Horticulture Dept. Annie Ruth's Number is 876-8708. April 9th's meeting is at the home of Marian Pollard at 3600 Donna Road. The program is "dragonflies and damselflies." The guest speaker is Steve Bambara who is an entomologist at NCSU. He is well known for his interesting and humorous presentations on the histories and habitats of these special Garden visitors.
